What if you've followed up with everybody? #followupfriday

Have you ever looked at your prospect list and realized you've already checked in with all your prospects in the last week. Or even in the last 24 hours?

What do you do?

Do you "check in" yet another time? Maybe your call, voicemail, or email wasn't received. So maybe another touch will be helpful.

Or maybe it was and you'll just be bugging them?

One thing you can do is:?find new prospects.?

In her new book? The Widest Net, Pamela Slim says, "The reality is, we often need 10 times the number of sales opportunities than we think we do to generate income stability and growth."?

So maybe it's time to expand your net.?

  • You could find other prospects.?
  • You could reconnect with past customers.

Or you might spend some time trying to figure out who exactly you serve and what problems you solve for them.?Not how old they are. Or what their income is. But what they are struggling with. And why you're the perfect fit.

Then look for people that solve complementary problems and connect with them.

What if you needed 10 times more people in your pipeline than you have? That may seem overwhelming. But it's far better than getting frustrated with the people on your follow up list who aren't deciding at the speed you'd like.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

If the problem solved vs. demographic served approach is difficult, The Widest Net gives a step-by-step strategy. And a way to find prospects in places you've never considered.

Another idea to widen your net is ask your customers to recommend to 3 people in their network. Tip from Janessa Geene that I used today

Great tip to focus on how your solution and your customer's problem fits together as a starting point, Marc! And adding Pamela Slim's "The Widest Net" to my list!
