As someone who has struggled with addiction for years, I know how difficult it can be to break free from negative habits. Whether it's smoking, drugs, alcohol, or any other addiction, it can feel like an impossible task to quit. But I'm here to tell you that it's not impossible.
I used to make New Year's resolutions every year to quit smoking, but I never followed through. It wasn't until I found out I was going to be a father that I realized I needed to make a change. I couldn't expose my child to secondhand smoke, and that was my big "why."
It took me a few months, but I finally quit smoking. And the key to my success was finding my "why." When you attach a big reason to something you want to achieve, you'll be surprised at what you're capable of.
So if you're struggling with a negative habit, don't give up. Find your "why" and keep pushing forward. You'll be amazed at how many people are willing to support you along the way. And remember, failure is just a part of the journey. Don't be afraid to try and fail, because that's how we learn and grow.
