As you know, we are in the midst of a HUGE shift in how you prepare your teen for college. The past three years have taught us all about the importance of focusing on what matters, prioritizing.
When it comes to preparing your teen for college, what you prioritize is based on today. For example, if you have a 10th (rising 11th) grader, this summer is not the time for you to take your teen on college visits. It's a great time, though, for your teen to explore their interests, through books, travel, camps, internship, or however they desire.
With all that we've been through in the past three years, if your teen isn't motivated to do anything this summer, then that's OK, too. Doing nothing can be a good thing.
