Everyone has their own unique set of strengths, and by identifying and leveraging them, you can achieve great success and fulfillment in your life. And yes, you got superpowers and I am sure you can list 10 of them in less than 2 minutes (counting down!).?
Here, I share 5 ways to find your strengths and up the list of superpowers to 15 or more:?
- Self-reflection: Take some time to reflect on your past successes and accomplishments. Think about the tasks or activities that you did well and that you enjoyed doing. These could be things you did in school, work, or in your personal life.
- Feedback: Ask for feedback from others who know you well, such as friends, family members, or colleagues. Ask them what they think your strengths are and how they've seen you use them in the past.
- Strengths assessments: There are many free online assessments you can take to identify your strengths. Some popular ones include the High5Test
, VIA Character Strengths
, and CliftonStrengths
assessments.??
- Passion and interests: Think about the things you're passionate about and interested in. Often, we excel in the areas that we enjoy the most.
- Uniqueness: Our unique perspectives and experiences can contribute to society in meaningful ways, and differences can help teams learn from one another and create a richer and more diverse world.
Once you have identified your strengths, here are some ways you can find opportunities to showcase them:
- Volunteer for projects: If your company or organization has projects that align with your strengths, volunteer to participate. This will give you a chance to demonstrate your skills and abilities while contributing to the success of the project.
- Offer to mentor or train others: If you have a particular skill or knowledge, offer to mentor or train others who may benefit from it. This will not only help others but also demonstrate your expertise and leadership skills.
- Look for something new: Look at job descriptions for roles you are interested in or currently hold. Consider starting a side job or building a new business. See which of your strengths will leverage the change you are looking for.
Embrace your strengths to make better decisions about your career and personal life.

1 年It's one of my favorite interview questions. I find people have so clear in their minds various "improvement needs" and pay too little attention to their strengths, which could probably take them a lot further. A source to identify superpowers that I would add is things you used to like doing at a young age.
