What is your Story?

I was recently asked to sum up the following question.. Tell us your story and how did you get to where you are?

Like most people when I graduated college 2005 I didn't really know what I was looking to do.

I thought I was going into the financial services industry on the road to being a certified financial planner by the time I was 30 years old.

Not all things workout the way they are meant to be. This career didn't work out and I needed to work so I took a job as a bartender. I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to meet new people try a new industry and have some fun while I was at it. This job taught me a lot about communication with people, reading a room, and even got me started on what I thought could be another potential career. A company by the name of CSN Stores was having a very small get together at my bar and the founder of the company was actually from Pittsfield MA which is where I grew up. This company was doing their best to maximize an untapped earning potential using the Internet. This company's idea that you did not have to actually keep an inventory in order to service a consumer demand driven marketplace. They owned a few websites like strollers.com and cookware.com and racksandstands.com and turned it into what you now know as Wayfair. As one of the earliest employees with this company and worked there for 4+ years.

In 2009 I decided it was time for a change.

I decided to relocate back to the Berkshires and go into business for myself. I started a real estate career in 2009-10. In 2012 I bought a restaurant building at a real estate auction. This became quite a successful project and became one of the most popular restaurants locally. I ran and operated the restaurant for a few years and During this time my real estate career continued to expand in a upward direction.

I knew the time had come for me too open up my own real estate brokerage and go truly into business for myself. In October 2016 Royal Property Group was born. RPG was an opportunity for me to do some investing in the real estate market of Berkshire county. With a partner over the course of the next four years we would go on to invest millions into the local real estate economy flipping, buying, fixing, selling, holding, and just providing high quality housing and employment opportunities to local contractors on a consistent basis.

In 2017 we acquired a new real estate office building that had an attached .6 acres of open unused land. This open land eventually became the location for what is now the Bloom Brothers. Through this opportunity we have created 20 jobs that provide excellent pay, and great benefits to a local population in a growing industry, and this is what we have always strived to do. "Create jobs and provide housing."

So when people ask what is your story; the moral is "you never know what is to be written."
