There aren't many people who go into the topic of money the way I do.
Many focus *only* on making money, which I understand, as it's sexier and easier to sell, perhaps.
...Or you may only receive tactical finance and accounting tips and guidance, which is important, except it doesn't serve so many who already have a high financial acumen and knowledge, especially those who work in the financial sector like many of my clients.
So many entrepreneurs, professional creatives, and business owners are silently experiencing other challenges related to their money which most don't talk about, are aware of, or even understand the cause, especially how to resolve and dissolve it.
For instance, I recently wrote a post about James Altuchar, who has written various times about how he made multi-millions of dollars and lost it, only to make it again and lose it again.
He's on his third round.
I don't say any of this to criticize or to focus on the negative, quite the contrary. I want to bring more awareness to this conversation, because it matters.
I want people to thrive financially and with the work they develop and represent which also includes how.
Many people are high earners, except they experience tremendous stress and compromise.
And a big part of representing your work is the money piece.
If we feel uncomfortable asking for the money we desire and know our work deserves, which can imply placing it in the right context and inviting the right people who will appreciate it, we aren't fully honoring it.
If we don't honor and see the value of our work, time, energy, expertise, education, etc, we won't set appropriate boundaries and commit to our prices and standards.
If we're not managing and handling our money well, we can put ourselves in a position, which makes us feel compromised; therefore, leading to decisions which are short-sighted and not in-integrity with our work.
(But this is not based on any designated number, as it is personal to you. We each have our own internal set points related to each part of our money, and if we rise too high or too low above it, it can trigger a nervous system response.)
But those are the more obvious and direct ways our inter-dynamics to money can effect our work.
The truth is, each part of our money is a metaphor for what is operating within us at an interpersonal level, as money connects to everything.
For instance, your programming, beliefs, and trauma related to savings reflect your experience of safety and security -- both in the financial and physical sense, yes, as well as at the fundamental level, which has to do with your confidence, trust (in self, life, others), and feeling safe within yourself no matter what, which affects so many other areas of your life, including your relationships.
In the case of James, this is the first place I would look, because though he is a very high earner, he unconsciously and repeatedly created IN-security in his money.
It's not to say programming and beliefs related to other areas of his money aren't also playing a role, but this is a good example of how programming and unresolved trauma related to savings can get expressed and play out.
It requires intentional process in order to slip past the defensive conscious "thinking" brain, so we can uncover the *unconscious* layered cause AND THEN dissolve it at multi-levels: cognitive/mental, nervous system, and emotional cellular -- simultaneously -- both mind *and* body.
This is how many of my clients have not only resolved patterns and set points related to their savings and investments, but also lifelong anxiety.
So many clients have ended long business and financial droughts by going to this level, because it's unconscious and emotional, and has nothing to do with their expertise or knowledge often times.
Some symptoms of negative programming related to your savings may look like this:
??you save and then "circumstances" seem to always arise and wipe it out or bring your balance back to a certain set point,
??you have irrational fears related financial loss no matter how much you earn or have in your bank account
??You're terrified to invest, whether in your business or financial investments, despite knowing it would serve you and your financial wealth
??cycles of high earning but you are also over spending and mismanaging your money, don't track it or know where it is going,
??anxiety related to making, managing, and handling money
??Triggers related to loss and survival, financially, which can summon emotions related to other areas of your life.
In my case, I experienced panic attacks for over a year as well as a fear related to investing, despite my sister working in the financial industry.
This is why the typical "Make more money" is NOT the answer.
Because if we have unconscious programming, beliefs, or trauma related to savings and income, which are counter to making more money or our financial aims, making more money will only prove short lived or an exhausting cycle of trying to keep up.

My panic ended after I started this work I now lead others and who experience similar rapid and radical results.
I signed my highest paying client, Women's Wear Daily, who lasted 3 years and was by far my easiest and most enjoyable client.
As a professional creative freelancer at the time, this was huge.
I was shown making more money didn't have to be harder or more stressful.
In fact, it was an adjustment for me as I was so used to hustling and stressing.
I mention this because my work is not dependent on a business model like so many others in order to experience results.
And why I serve a spectrum of industries and clients.
