What is your purpose?

The very thing that I've been resisting for the last twenty years is my life's purpose. I've known it all along. But, I haven't come full out to declare it.
It's big and it scares the hell out of me.
I do not feel equipped or qualified. But I feel called to it. There's a stirring in my heart when I dream, think and speak about it.
But, little old me. "Why me?" This is so much bigger than me, I can't handle it.
I feel painfully numb when I ignore or avoid it. When I focus **solely** on my skills, it's not as gratifying.
Some people search for their purpose all their life; yet, I have found it but am sheepishly shy in going full out to share it.
An online mentor of mine @Julie Stoian shared this message about discovering her own purpose recently, "Some of you might be laughing at this because it'll seem so obvious to you, but when you've developed a lot of skills, it's easy to confuse skill + task with purpose."
Personally, I am in a flow state when I am strategizing, coaching, facilitating, teaching, communicating a vision, and planning. These are skills that energize me.
Whether I am teaching someone how to effectively write a resume, coaching someone through a tough situation at work, or supporting an executive in strategic planning and communicating a vision, I feel energized (most of the time). It comes naturally to me.
But, through all of this --- my purpose is to share Faith with a capital F.
Not the fluffy meme-worthy "have faith" type of message or faith messages one might recall in scripture; that's not in the fiber of my being, yet. And I haven't developed a knack for sharing stories of great dreamers, leaders, and visionaries who had faith in carrying out their causes.
My purpose is to share faith —- whether it’s in bring people of today together to share their faith journeys in their life, business, and career, or in other forms. I want to share Faith:
Faith through the uncertainty.
Faith through the fog.
Faith through the challenge.
Faith through the crisis.
Faith through the celebrations.
I want to know the faith people call upon to carry them through the desert, darkness, and depression, in any facet of their life.
I am curious about people's deepest convictions and their faith journeys and testimonies.
I also feel called to share mine. It's deep and uncomfortable.
My faith convictions came to me in my teenage years during times of crisis. As an adolescent, I witnessed my parents lose their jobs, identities, minds, homes, fortunes, and almost their lives (they both had suicidal ideations).
Yet, somehow they gained resilience, I felt loved, and I was graced with Faith through the #Fuckups. I didn't have mentors or anyone I felt like I could trust.
Paradoxically, while my faith was born, I was born the planner and visionary of my life --- seeking control of my full potential in mind, body, and soul.
Why is this ironic for me?
Because I doubt, deny, and deviate from my faith --- A LOT.
I struggled with doubt for the last two years. Never, had that been the case for me before.
I yearn for security and certainty. It was shaken in my most formative years --- it causes me to be great at scenario planning, but if not tamed causes anxiety, doubt, and worry.
I've had to learn to surrender my tendencies to control and want to know what the future holds. And when I have surrendered and really called upon faith, I've received the greatest miracles and blessings -- greater than I could've ever called upon or created myself.
While I still struggle with faith in my own life, I have deep-seated beliefs and convictions that faith has carried me this far.
It is my greatest source of strength and my secret weapon.
It brings me bliss.
Part of my bliss work is I am interviewing purpose-driven powerhouse leaders about how they leaned into Faith to carry out their vision in the marketplace...
You’ll hear stories of how leaders leaned into their faith at work.
Stories of rock bottom to the top...
Stories of strategy to surrender...
Stories of brass tasks and tactics to trusting in God...
I am holding a safe space for people of all faiths to share their testimonies and spiritual #journeyswithoutjudgent.
The leaders I interview see their life lessons and messes as blessings...they go forth...
and take the FIRST step, after FIRST step, after FIRST step...
Through the failures...
Through the frustrations...
Through the fogs...
Through the fallbacks...
Through the false starts...
I believe we are spiritual beings having human experiences and if we silence that side of ourselves and each other, whether it be in fear of our conflict, contrast, or judgment, then we are not making room for the true essence of ourselves.
Curious, which leaders would you want to hear share about how they leaned into their faith to carry out and co-create vision in the marketplace?
The VISION is BEYOND ME and I need your help to call upon these LEADERS --- I call them The Crusaders.
They are transforming culture from operating from a fear-based, fixed mindset to a faith-filled, growth mindset.
We believe that through harnessing faith, talents, and strengths and embracing one another's differences, we can solve the "employee disengagement" an unhappiness epidemic.
We can dissolve the dialogue that dims our light. We can change the narrative to serve the consistent, persistent, positive, prayerful, pursuit of possibilities ---YOUR potential.
We aspire to build a movement that is intentional about instilling positivity, confidence, and faith as you GROW through challenges, change, and uncertainty in life, biz, and career.
I partner with purpose-driven leaders and entrepreneurs who lean into FAITH to co-create vision in the marketplace --- whether it's faith in God, humanity, themselves, or their cause.
We create a safe space for people to share the greatest expression of themselves with love and faith, not fear.
As I get derailed, deviated, and distracted from working on my purpose, I experience an event that solidifies my faith and gets me back on course.
How do you lean into your faith?
