What is Your Product Doing?

There is so much to learn. Something I keep studying in sales is product development. These offerings and brand Image come down to Cost, speed, or quality. Also known as the 3 E's, Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Experience.

We all eat fast food (or used to) for Cost, we never think to by a 80, steak from McDonalds. It is way outside of their quality sphere of influence. We would also be frustrated if it took 30 minutes in the drive through. At 3 minutes our eyes begin to twitch. This is created by their sphere of influence, created by the organizations Core competency. Much like you are the fullness of your thoughts and habits. You become your competitive advantage. I don’t care what service you are in, you are the difference. Just like that your bussnies and offerings are the diffrence, they can take it all, but can never replicate who you are.

?????????????? The market you create comes from the people you desire to serve. Know thy customer! Not everyone likes apples. It is not our job to give everyone apples, tell them they are good and force them to eat. Your job is to create a I love for apples group, tell the members why your apples are the best and you can get them to them in a reasonable time. Never be the cheapest unless you like to negotiate to be even cheaper.

?????????????? What is your product is never what you do! You can sale concrete, that can be a wall, a floor, a brick, or a pair of shoes. Well, shoes? That depends on your customer! Theodore Levitt, a Harvard professor, Said, “Don’t sale the drill, sale the hole.”

If all your product is an instant thrill, that leaves your buyer thinking why. Be better! If your product is created to serve your customer and add value to their lives. Sale the purpose, value, results. Your product is more than a brand or a box, the greatest product becomes part of an identity. Milwaukee does not compete with anyone they Have a customer, who won’t buy anything else because it is who they are and what it means to have a dependable tool. When your offering transcends its purpose, value, and results and become part of a Persons Idenity, you are winning. How do you resonate with people to create loyalty? Give! The products that do this are not cheap, but when you walk into the room you know what they are all about. Many products or companies do not have to even advertise. Most of the biggest names are by word of mouth only. They attract people who already decided that product is for them now how do I get it.
