I recently went to stay with a dear, old friend for some serious talking, tea drinking and laughing.
During our many conversations, my lovely friend told me an old story from her school days. She was told to stand in the corner of the?classroom for being naughty. But she?didn't just have to stand in the corner. She had to stand in the bin! She had to stand in the bin because she was rubbish. She was literally rubbish!!!
This blew me away - she was rubbish. ??
What a message to give to a child?
We all have these kind of stories from our younger years (maybe not so literal but painful all the same). Maybe from when we were very young or from our teenage years. We laugh?about them. We joke about them.
We think they no longer affect?us.
But these memories and messages?DO affect us now. They accumulate over the years?and our subconscious?creates a story about who?we are. BUT?this is not who we are.?Once we can deal with these old stories internally, we can step into our truth and KNOW we are always enough?-?ALWAYS.
If any of this resonates with you, I would suggest going within so you?can move on from these old negative messages?and negative beliefs?so you?don't?repeat those?feelings of?having to do more to prove yourself, comparing yourself to others or even needing other people's validation.
When we revisit these old feelings and stories from the past, they can leave us feeling very vulnerable. Whilst, this is important for healing and for our growth, it can all be rather overwhelming. To help you feel, grounded and safe, here is a short Root Chakra meditation that connects us to Mother Earth. By listening to it regularly, you will feel more and more safe in yourself because so much of what is going on for us is about fear. Fear from the past and fear about the future. Bring yourself back to the present moment and remind yourself that you are safe.

To close, I am sharing another affirmation from the incredible?Louise Hay. It is one I come back to again and again, during times that might be on the challenging side. It works a treat!!! So, if you're having a difficult time, why not try it??
"?All is well.
Everything is working out for my?highest good and out of this situation, only good will come and I am safe.?"
Much love?

2 年I went to a catholic primary school, which was a lovely school but as a small child I gained an overactive sense of guilt. I’d feel guilty about not having remembered my sins properly to be able to confess them at confession, then in a panic I’d make some up and then immediately afterwards feel crushing guilt for doing it, but not be able to confess it! ??
