What’s your story? What’s your impact? What’s your conversation? Do you have a topic that needs a platform? I am creating a panel discussion series for you to share the virtual stage with other subject matter experts.
It’s time to share your expertise with the world. Let’s take a closer look.
Men’s Suicide and A Change in the Conversation
A certain percentage of men (across all age groups) are dying at an increased rate from suicide. Let’s take that into consideration for just a moment. The issue should both alarm and concern you. It should concern everyone.
And yes, that means teenage boys are both contemplating and committing suicide. This may not be a new issue, but it should be a concern. It should be something that we keep in the forefront of our thoughts throughout the day. Mental health issues are impacting all of us, all of the time. And many of us are remaining mute on the subject. That includes me . . . but no more.
As the Question Guy, I want to investigate the issue. I want to ask why; I want to ask what can be done. And I want to ask how we can change the conversation to empower men, and their loved ones, to bring hope to their lives. And more to the point, what can we do to lower the suicide rate?
The Conversations Matter
Dr. Keith McNally is The Question Guy and host of The Question Guy Podcast! With over 100 conversations to my credit, I am sharing your personal stories of transformation with the world. Additionally, many of you have changed your personal struggles into victories. As such, you are sharing your insights as a coach, consultant, or speaker. Congratulations for taking your trials and tribulations and making them a point of inspiration and change for others!
To name a few, I have chatted with Jane Bell , Steve Gamlin , and Emily 'Madge' Payne . But these professionals are only a handful of the many people that I have spoken with . . . many (and many more) people are sharing their stories and guiding others to pivot into the best versions of themselves. Your stories of transformation are told so that your heart-felt message can reach many people. Someone, somewhere, needs to hear your story. And that person needs to be inspired . . .?and encouraged . . .?to begin to make a change. Not at some point in the future . . . right now.
My second series is called Coach’s Corner. This is your professional story . . .?your solo or entrepreneurial efforts . . .?coming to life. As Steve Gamlin once said, because you’ve been through it, you can help others do the same. So, if you’re a coach, small business owner, or entrepreneur, I give you 15 minutes to share your professional impact, power, and purpose. Consider it free advertising!
I added another weekly talk series: Coach2Coach. Each week, Laura Vann LaRusso and I go live on LinkedIn. Our mission is to talk about all things coaching. What does it mean to be a coach? Why are coaches effective? And how can coaches make a positive impact on those they serve and help? Now, we are bringing on other coaches to share their story of empowerment. Consider joining us in conversation!

Envision Speakers Series
Now it’s time to go deeper and give you the conversations that are designed to make real change, and real impact, on your life! Starting in July (2023), I’m hosting a new series: Envision Speakers Series. Each month I am taking a deeper look into a specific topic by bringing together a small group of experts. My first topic is men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
Joining me in conversation will be Mitch Gray (a credentialed mental health professional) and Jerry Klingerman (a men’s coach, speaker, and author). Jerry’s current project is a look into the needs of the younger generation – men who are having problems sustaining meaningful relationships with their partners. Listen to Jerry’s story below.
I know that men rarely, if ever, want to bring up the topic of their mental wellbeing. It’s time to change the perception around the conversation of psychological and emotional health by creating new language around the topic. At the same time, we want to craft the conversation correctly so that men can share their thoughts without feeling awkward or ashamed. As someone who has made two suicide attempts in his own life, I can say that this conversation is ten years too late (for me).
Better late than never.
Although I trust the competence that Mitch and Jerry are bringing to the discussion, I am looking for one more individual who can add value to the conversation. If you are interested in becoming a part of this panel discussion, please message me directly.
If does not matter if you are a man or a woman, if you can add perspective and insight into the topic of men’s mental health, I would like for you to join the conversation.
Subsequent panel discussions for 2023 include organizational culture, women’s rights (including reproductive rights), and teacher mental health. And this is only the beginning. If you have a topic that you believe needs more attention, let’s talk. Let’s make that conversation happen.

1 年This is a wonderful piece Keith J. McNally. Thank you for the opportunity to share expertise with you and add to your already valuable work and perspectives. It scares me, to know in your sharing, that you were once so low that you thought of leaving the planet. I am so very glad that you are here, and that you are passionate about your purpose. I am sure your impact means a lot to so many. Keep going on your path. You are making a way for people you don't even know, in meaningful ways. Keep walking your path, and creating one for others!
