WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?

GOALS - What are yours?? Are you frustrated with your results? I am a big fan of learning from the best.

Today I learned from Darren Hardy some simple yet profound steps regarding goals. Keep in mind, simple is not always easy. But with some guidance, you can win!

Once you identify your goal, you need to move the focus away from the goal - in essence, forget it! Instead, follow these steps:

1.?Focus on the process.?What do you need to do to achieve the goal? For example - you may want to lose 15 pounds. The process would be to only eat or drink 1500 calories per day.

Or you may want to grow your business. Then the process may be committing to calling 5 new potential clients aka referral partners each day. Then monitor and track your processes daily.

2.?Focus on the system.?Focus on the system versus the goal. Losing weight may be the goal, learning to eat right is a system. Once you get the systems right, then the eating is right, thus so is the outcome of losing the weight.

If doubling your productivity and income is a goal, then learning to prevent distractions and focus on the vital work requires a system.

If increasing intimacy in your marriage is a goal, then calendaring the time and experiences to do so is a system. Systems always trump goals. Focus on the system moving forward and the goals will follow.

3.?Focus on growth,?not goals. Focus on being better today than you were yesterday. Focus on being better tomorrow than you are today. Consider how every day you can learn and grow? Today's activities will create the success of your future.
