What is your Framework?

What is your Framework?

Have you ever considered the framework of your mind? Suppose you take a moment to do so, and you get past the fear that your mind’s framework looks like spaghetti. In that case, you might be surprised at how understanding your framework can take you from being at the mercy of things out of your control to controlling your response and direction.??

?In an article written by Lizzie Alberga, she says, “This mental framework is the mental harnessing of our own greatness, the awareness that we create our own experience and have the power to change it at any time.” I don’t know about you, but I like the sound of that.?

?We often find ourselves entangled in self-talk that breaks down our greatness. However, when we turn this around and harness our greatness, the messages become empowering. It has been found that there are four principles of a healthy mental framework; awareness, connection, insight, and purpose. I would suggest that you consider what these words mean to you and the framework of your mind.??

?Awareness, simply put, is the method of being in touch with your inner self and how you respond. In other words, becoming aware of your thoughts. What do you think about your situation, really? I recommend that you use the tool of meditation, which can remove the static and help you to see your own mind more clearly. This also can provide you with the opportunity to be non-bias in your view of your situation and free up thoughts for how you move forward.??

?Connection is key to moving forward. The opposite of connection is isolation. Self-isolation can often deepen our mental health struggles. As crucial as connections are to our mental health, it is equally essential that the connection is respectful and fosters a caring relationship.??

?Insight into our minds is what helps us to move forward in a healthy way. The stories we tell ourselves can be built from outside perception. Insight is what takes awareness from internal dialogue into outward action. It helps us to create a framework that is based on our empowering personal beliefs. Without insight, your unhealthy responses are more likely to result in negative thoughts or harmful coping mechanisms. There are many ways to build the insight muscle in our minds. I recommend that you journal your thoughts and beliefs, goals, and the action steps you can take.??

?The last principle is that of purpose. If you have ever thought about something you want to do yet do not apply purpose to it, you may find it doesn’t ever come to life. If we utilize a healthy mind framework, we can take our awareness, connection, and insight to help us define our purpose. When things feel hopeless, our purpose can drive us forward despite the obstacles.??

?This Monday, I invite you to explore the framework of your mind, and remember you do not have to do this alone, try meditation, a therapist, a life coach, a mentor and a healthy connection.?
