Who here doesn't like quotes?
Wisdom, learnings, and experiences distilled, condensed, and curated in a few words
I am sure you would have a favorite quote as well.
My favorite quote belongs to Ayn Rand, the world’s first individualist and objectivist. She is a phenomenal writer and probably one of the few thinkers who can unapologetically stick by her side.
As humans, we get too obsessed with puzzles and complexity; we think life is a mystery, the universe is to be unraveled, and there are questions to be answered.
And that is the beauty of Rand’s words and work. It is so simple that it will take you a few breaths to appreciate its simplicity.
When you read her work, you will realize that the words don’t hit you hard. They are simple, straight, and unassuming.
It is like God whispering the secrets of the universe in the common tongue.
I can write a book on Any Rand, but we will save that for later. Let me come back to the topic at hand. My favorite is:
“You can run away from reality,
But you can never run away from the consequences of running away from reality.”
Profound. Every time I read this quote, I realize how profound these words are.
For me, the quote represents battles that we must fight but sometimes choose to run away from.
If we don't run, we convince ourselves that the battle isn’t worth fighting.

It is not worth it
But what's the point?
Let it be; time fixes everything
I don’t have the time
I don’t know how to do it
What if I fail?
Eventually, the consequences of not taking action—the repercussions of not fighting that battle catch up.
Not taking action to build a personal brand, not spending time to exercise or meditate, not taking time to read that book you know you have to
So get hold of your battle axe, yell out your battle cry, and march!
Because if you do not,
The consequences of escaping the battle will catch up with you.

1 年Very profound Deepak Parmar Thank you for the acknowledgment!
Interesting read Deepak Parmar One of my favourite quotes is “It is not our abilities that show what we truly are. It is our?choices.” Sometimes having the appropriate talents or abilities isn't enough, the outcome is decided by making the correct decisions at the right moment. Equally essential is making key decisions in life. Who we are depends on our choices.

1 年Nice thought Deepak Parmar, and I am sure with the quantity, the quality of posts will also remain your point of focus. Since, in the era of being noticed (at least over the social media platforms), people have started dumping posts on linkedin.
