What Is Your Dream?

We rightly pause today to reflect on the life, work, and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
A man who met anger with peace, fear with hope, and scarcity with abundance, Dr. King is remembered for his tremendous impact on the American Civil Rights Movement.
Although he lived only 39 years (an assassin's bullet took his life in 1968), his legacy lives on and his words continue to echo in our minds. His I Have a Dream speech is historic, moving, and convicting.
Calling us to be better versions of ourselves, he paints a word picture of his dream for a better future.
As you consider Dr. Kings's legacy and reflect on both progress made and gaps yet to be closed, I encourage you to also reflect on your life and the dreams that you have for yourself, those you care most about at home (and work), and the world we all share.
I invite you to ask and answer these questions for yourself:
- What gaps do you see that should be addressed?
- What do you feel compelled to do?
- How might you play a role in closing them?
- Where could you start and who else should be involved?
- What can you do today to make your dream a reality?
I wish you all the best as you put your dreams into motion.

9 年Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a true leader with a clear vision of what he wanted to change and he did change the things he wanted to change. I just wonder if he was still alive what else could have changed with him as a leader?
