What is your calling?

Finding Me.. In this journey that's been on for years now, I started observing that, people who have been able to do something out of ordinary did not set out to do 'The BIG Thing' on day one, rather they started with the art they know, the writing they do.. slowly the journey revealed newer paths, one lead to another and eureka its a new beginning!

Oprah Winfrey for example did not set out to become a media mogul or a philanthropist. Her purpose was to elevate human consciousness and that didn't come to her on a plate. There was a journey starting as a journalist, later she found her calling in bringing stories to light and slowly the magic unveiled itself.

Someone who sets out to run a book club, draws into the idea of children's reading difficulties and starts pop up reading sessions during weekends and eventually sets off to start a school that caters to children with varied learning needs.

With this new found understanding, I realized I will get to my purpose one day but today I have to pay heed to my callings, my art, my work and pour a little bit of myself into what ever I do.

When was the last time you had that tinkling sensation, the hindsight vision or just an inner voice and you decided to wait than act? May be its time you too pay heed to your calling.
