Many commercial people think they have kind of “Business Development” DNA, could be the case but I don’t have any proof for this but yet, but what I do know that business development is crucial in every organization to simple grow and sustain your business.

Business development comprises a number of tasks and processes generally aiming at developing and implementing growth opportunities within and between organizations. It is a subset of the fields of business, commerce and organizational theory.
Most businesses have at least an idea on growth, expanding their market and customer base to reach this genuine goal, activating a strong business development structure here is a necessity.
Planning to double your sales number requires you to scale all phases of your business development structure today, it’s starts with generating enough leads and bring a large number of leads into your sales process and help your customers in the best possible way and built a sustainable customer advocacy, the most economic and solid way to expand and sustain your business.
These customers will share the positive experiences with your organization in their networks helping your business to being the most customer oriented business in your industry.
Many of us forget to combine all available resources in your organization and activate them, you don’t know who knows who and let them help you in the sales process and vice versa, need two people to dance the tango.

Always keep in mind that the organization someone represents is just part of decision, focus on the ideal customer profile where your organization can address challenges of these specific customers.
Identify your ideal customer is mainly to understand how they interact with your product or service through all phases of your BD system. Understand and listen to the why of the person in front of you and show real interest and just be human and work with people the way you like together.
