Surface level rewards are not worth sacrificing your values for
In the pursuit of your goals in life, be mindful of your truest fulfillment
Be it faith, love, impact, freedom, family, adventure, service… whatever your core values are, keep those top of mindIt is so easy to get distracted by the promises of the world but the real rewards are in the pursuit of what fulfills your values every day
Even when those things come with challenges or setbacks, it’s important to reflect on if it is aligned with your values or not
Your values are like the codes of your soul
When we #BuildMoreThanJustaBody we consider our values in all that we CHOOSE to do or MUST do to achieve what we have been called to
I think that too many people sacrifice what matters most in exchange for what matters less to them
Pride can lead someone to value money over their family
Pleasure can lead someone to value comfort over their longevity
Discontentment can lead someone to chase the next best thing and sacrifice their value of gratitude or peaceIf your life is indicative of your idols, are you happy with what you’re putting on a pedestal?
I’m not talking about how your body looks or how much money is in the bank or what you’re doing with your time. I’m talking about your intentions and the drive behind all that you do.
Is it representative of your soul? Your true values?
Know that the way you satisfy those values can change over the course of your life but the values rarely change
So if your “why” is different, is it at least still aligned with your core soul codes?
