What Will You Talk About This International Women’s Day?

International Women’s Day is always a powerful moment for reflection, celebration, and—most importantly—action.
This year, I’m using my voice to talk about something that’s still shockingly absent from most workplace discussions: fertility and reproductive health.
It’s an issue that affects nearly 18% of the workforce, yet so many employees suffer in silence, afraid to speak up, unsure of where to turn, and often feeling like their struggles don’t belong in professional spaces.
Well, let me tell you this—they do.
Why Fertility in the Workplace Matters (More Than You Think)
Fertility isn’t just a personal challenge—it’s a workplace issue. Employees navigating fertility struggles are dealing with an emotional, physical, and mental load that doesn’t just disappear when they log in for work. The stress, the uncertainty, the appointments, the failed attempts—it’s exhausting.
And yet, in so many workplaces, there’s no space for these conversations. No policies. No acknowledgment. Just silence.
That’s why I do what I do.
Creating Spaces for Real Conversations
A few months ago, I hosted a Fertility in the Workplace Lunch and Learn for an organization that wanted to open up this conversation. It was a simple, one-hour session—but the impact was huge.
Four employees came forward afterward. Four people who had been carrying their struggles alone, feeling unseen and unheard. They told me, “Thank you so much for this. I finally feel like I’m not alone.”
That’s the power of just one conversation. Imagine what would happen if more organizations took this seriously—if more workplaces made space for these discussions, provided real support, and treated fertility like the real workplace issue it is.
Wellness and Fertility—They Go Hand in Hand
But fertility support isn’t just about education. It’s also about wellness. Because let’s be real—fertility journeys take a toll on the whole person. That’s why I don’t just focus on awareness; I also provide holistic wellness support through events like Nourishing Her.
Just a few weeks ago, we hosted Nourishing Her, an event designed to uplift, support, and empower women navigating fertility and reproductive health challenges. The response was incredible. Women left feeling seen, supported, and nourished—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.
For some, it was the first time they had ever spoken about their struggles openly. That, right there, is why these spaces matter.
What Can We Do This International Women’s Day?
So, what are you going to talk about this International Women’s Day? Are we going to keep having the same conversations about leadership and equality (which are important, of course!), or are we also going to talk about the real, lived experiences of women in the workplace—fertility included?
If you’re an employer, a leader, or someone who wants to make a difference, here’s what you can do:
Let’s Talk. Let’s Change.
This International Women’s Day, I’m choosing to talk about fertility in the workplace and the power of wellness support. Because when we acknowledge these issues, when we make space for real conversations, and when we provide real support—we create workplaces where women don’t just survive.
They thrive.
So, what are you going to talk about?
If this conversation resonates with you and you want to bring it into your workplace, I have a few spaces left in March for Lunch and Learn webinars. These sessions are a powerful first step in opening up the discussion, providing education, and ensuring your employees feel seen and supported.
If you’re interested in hosting one, let’s chat about how I can help your organisation move forward. Reach out, and let’s make real change happen—together.
Warm regards
Louise
