What You Really Value

What You Really Value

Value is such a funny word.

As entrepreneurs, coaches and consultants, you want others to see your value so that they’ll buy from you.

Still, most of us collide with a paralyzing thought process.

We fail to see our value and self-worth. ??

To recognize that we have the absolute power to stop a downward — in business and life.

Here’s what I mean.

There was a Facebook post on how to overcome struggles with visibility. ??

I suggested a strategy that I know works because my clients who use it get a 300-700% ROI.

A woman responds to my post asking for deets and a DM.

?? This is her message to me:

Well, I am a photographer, and even though I have over 30 years of experience, unfortunately, no one in this area values what I do. They don't want to pay my price.

And since there are too many others out there who will do what I do for less, that’s who they will go to. I make money only on those people who are from elsewhere and just visiting the area. I'm still in business, but I struggle to maintain.

And to be honest with you, I wouldn’t be able to afford to work with you at this time. But I will definitely keep you in mind when I can.

OK, the tone and words here left me scratching my head...and a bit sad.

I immediately thought: We'll never work together.

Why?

She won’t ever be able to afford to work with me (or anyone else) because she has a backward mindset.

She's teetering on the edge of hopeless. ??

When you don’t value being open to a possible solution (that comes with a huge return on investment??), you'll always struggle.

When you lack a deep trust in yourself to be resourceful and figure it out, you'll compose a similar sad message. ??

No, I’m not suggesting you default on your house and car payments.

But if your car broke down, you’d get resourceful and figure out how to come up with the money to fix it. ??

To get it back on the road so you can go places. So that you’re not stuck. ??

Every decision and choice we make reflects what we value.

What we deem important. ??

When you invest in your business, you commit to you!

You show yourself subconsciously that you value yourself. ??

That’s when others notice. And buy from you. And refer people to you.

First, though, you must believe you. ??
