You might already have been on holiday or just about to get ready to pack. If you packing a suitcase stresses you out, hopefully reading the below will ensure that packing a suitcase won't be stressfull any longer.
I came back from my French holiday three days ago, what did I bring with me?
It won't come as a surprise if I'll tell you that I have tried to be as minimalistic as possible. I don't just throw everything that I possible can in my suitcase anymore. There's no point, it will just create stress before and during the holiday.
So let's see what steps I followed that you can too.
Think about your past holiday, what did you put in your suitcase? Did you use everything? What did you not bring that would have been useful and what did you bring that you didn't use?
Think about your imminent holiday. Where are you going? What will you be doing?
TAKE CLOTHES THAT COMBINE WITH EACH OTHER
I do my outfit combinations on my bed.???
Take at least three tops to combine with a pair of trousers and a skirt. Use the 70/30 rule where you pack 70% of tops and 30% of bottoms.
If you are a dress person, well that will be easier, not many outfit combo to do.
Shoes, I'd say no more than three pairs. Sandals, sneakers (or comfortable shoes for walking) and flipflop. Sounds reasonable? Of course I am thinking of a summer holiday here, somewhere hot where you'll be?sunbathing.

Bags. Can you bring just one? Or maybe a bigger one for travelling and a smaller one for wondering around on holiday. I have started bringing my fabric tote bag (or maybe two) so that I can use it when going shopping .??
Accessories. Does any of your outfit combinations or dresses need a belt? Don't forget it. Bring a suitable colour.
Don't forget a couple of earrings, a necklace and your bracelets if you wear any of this.
Of course if it's a beach holiday,??a va sans dire, your bikini! Or, like me your swimsuit. (that's what I have done below. My swimsuit with shorts under an oversized shirt/jacket).
So pack your suitcase be as minimal as you can, leave light and enjoy!
I'll tell you a little secret. I love summer and the warm weather but I don't particularly like wearing shorts and swimwear. This doesn't stop me from enjoying my holiday though. And once I caught some tan it's all forgotten.???
I hope you'll find this useful and let me know how you get on.
