What you need to know about the release of RabbitMQ 3.13.0

What’s cooking at CloudAMQP? Well, a little this and that! We have a variety of exciting things going on, but one of the major highlights now is the release of RabbitMQ 3.13.0. We are happy to announce that RabbitMQ 3.13.2 is now available on CloudAMQP, and here’s three key user-facing changes we think you should know about:

• The introduction of Khepri, the new metadata store
• Stream filtering
• MQTT 5 support

Since Khepri will replace Mnesia in RabbitMQ 4.0, we also highly recommend reading the blog How Khepri effects you, to learn more about what to expect when it’s time to make the switch. Note that Khepri is only available in RabbitMQ 3.13 as an opt-in feature only. As a result, upgrading to RabbitMQ 3.13.2 will not automatically make Khepri available. You’d have to enable Khepri first.
