What You Need to Know to Have a Successful Email Marketing Campaign

I am tired of hearing that email marketing is dead. Some say that it is not effective, but the reality is very different. While it depends on multiple factors and whether you are able to bring them together, you can convert your email marketing campaigns into a very effective conversion tool.

One of the main factors is to have a qualified and optimized email database. To achieve this requires hard work over a long period of time making it a tedious but very profitable process. In fact, when building your database you must think in terms of quality.

One way to improve the quality of your database is to remove emails from your database every 2 months.  By searching which users didn’t open emails in the last 8 weeks, you can delete them and update the database.

It is important that you select a professional email marketing tool that will help you deliver emails to the right users. Another advantage of these tools are analytics since they offer a dashboard with metrics to analyze and optimize every email that you send.

But if you are striving to be the best this is not enough.  Be sure to incoporate these two aspects into your campaigns:

 

Dynamic content

You have to personalize the content for each user. By selecting a tool to track the behavior of your customers, you can create one-to-one email marketing. It is a process currently being implemented by companies such as Amazon or AirBnb.

 

Context

Related to the above. For example, a user searched your web page for a Samsung mobile device, but at the end of his search he didn’t finish the purchase. With this information we can send an email 30 minutes after his visit with personalized offers and different options related to his search.

 

Ask yourself how many of these actions are you currently applying to your business? The most important thing is to be conscious of our business strategy and work to find new ways to make our digital marketing profitable.
