What are you making room for?
Another moving day is approaching

What are you making room for?

I’m in the process of moving again. ? For those who know me, this is one of many moves I've made with my family since 2018 when we uprooted ourselves from a very comfortable life in Phoenix, AZ and moved overseas to London, U.K. to take on a challenging career assignment.????

Moving can be stressful, and it can leave your life feeling cluttered (both physically and symbolically).? ? But, it also serves as a metaphor for helping us see things more clearly.??

That a ha moment for me came when I realized that I wasn’t going to allow my small gym space in our current garage to be taken over by boxes and “stuff”, which would prevent me from pursuing something that is important to me in my life: ? physical fitness and well-being.??

Choosing to make room for this was an act of intention (see picture).? For me, physical fitness and well-being helps me to accomplish the other priorities in my life: ? Raising my family, being a good husband, being a strong leader for my team, and leading a small company through its next phase of growth. ? This requires physical stamina, energy, self-confidence, mental clarity, and the ability to challenge myself to improve and grow. ? All things that I’m able to take away from sticking to a routine of being physically fit because I intentionally make room for it in my life.??

The takeaway?? I’m not here to promote physical fitness. ? That’s something I have chosen as important in my life. ? The takeaway is…………….are you being intentional about what you’re making room for in your life?? ? If not, then you’re likely to continue to be frustrated and unfulfilled as you wonder why those big goals you set out to achieve have not come to fruition.??

Be intentional. ? Make room. ? No one else can do this for you but yourself.???

Great reminder, Brad. Good luck with the move!!

Another benefit is removing things that create physical and mental clutter. The huge benefit, which pays dividends later, is the example you're setting for your children. They're watching. And you're leading in many phases of life.

Good stuff Brad, and so true, but guess we know what you think of your cars lol! All the best with the move/new adventure for you and the family!
