What you love will try to kill you
It’s the feeling of being alive, it’s being present in the now, being alert of your surroundings and overcoming your fear, realizing you are connected to the universe in some mysterious way.
They say “what you love will try to kill you and if it doesn’t it will only make you stronger.”
My name is Nick & I’m an MTB freerider/business owner.
As an athlete, we tend to push ourselves to the limit, mentally & physically.
In 2014, I broke my neck in 6 different spots and split my skull open from a BMX crash at Baldy Pipe in CA.
I was airlifted to the hospital soon to be pronounced dead & paralyzed all in a short period of time.

What I loved literally killed me!
I kid you not I seen the other side, it was beautiful and the energy was amazing.
However, the big gates at the entrance didn’t open for me.
I just remember a voice saying “It’s not your time, you have one more ride left in you, this is all part of your journey & days from now you will understand & see why.”

I know it sounds crazy but it’s true.
To say the least, this injury has been a life-changing experience.
I’m thankful for the ones who stuck by my side to help me when I wasn’t able to help myself.
From being on bed rest for 8 months to a full recovery that took longer than a year.

During this time frame life, taught me valuable lessons.
It blessed me with new opportunities from business to riding a bike again.
It was finding the strength from within & overcoming the fear that enables you to do more.
I can talk about this for hours giving detail but it would make for a very long post.
If you’re interested in knowing more or maybe you are going through something similar feel free to message me.
Would love to talk to y’all.
