VIDEO ON ASSESSING UNDERSTANDING OF A TECHNICAL PRESENTATION
A technical presenter gives a presentation and thinks it went well. How do they know, though? I did a video on a way for the presenter to know for sure, especially when many in the audience are non-technical. Check it out HERE.
PUBLIC SPEAKING TIP
When giving a virtual presentation, position your camera at or slightly above eye level - this creates the most natural and engaging angle for your audience. Place it about arm's length away from you. Most importantly, look directly into the camera lens when speaking, not at your own image or the faces on screen. This creates the feeling of eye contact for your viewers. Think of the camera lens as the eyes of a person you're having a conversation with. It may feel unnatural at first, but this direct eye contact through the camera helps build connection and trust with your virtual audience.
All for now!
