What Are You Looking Forward To?

What Are You Looking Forward To?

Like many people, I am looking forward to this holiday season. Mainly, because I will be enjoying some time off and going on a trip. For those of you that I’ve met with over the last few weeks, you are very aware of my countdown (7 days and a wake up—but who’s counting?!).

My husband and I made a commitment that we’d schedule an annual trip as a treat to ourselves. It doesn’t have to be an expensive or luxurious trip, but something just for us. As a matter of fact, I like to book the next trip upon the completion of the current trip.

WHY?

1. I like to have something to look forward to. This motivates me to get through the tough and hard times because I know something greater is coming!

2. Making and fulfilling commitments in relationships are just as important as fulfilling commitments in my job. You’re replaceable.

3. Time away provides me with rejuvenation, focus, and intentional connections.

4. I like to choose places that I’ve never been to before, even if it’s only a couple of hours away! I want to visit the local shops and eat the local food.

5. I’ve been working since I was 13 years old. I want to live and experience the things I’ve prayed for. Use your PTO!

What are you looking forward to?

Have THE best time! Can't wait to hear about it. Oooh, what am I looking forward to? I'm looking forward to my daughter's 17th birthday party that she has given me full party planning credentials for. She chose an ABBA Dancing Queen / 70s Disco theme and her birthday is on New Year's Eve, so I'm pulling out all the stops. There will be glitter covering my home for years to come and I can't wait! ?????? Happy holidays and New Year's to you, Kiera!
