What are you learning these days?

I was thinking yesterday about my learning journey, and how learning never ends.
While cleaning up my desk, I discovered this Business Operations diploma. I took this course a while ago, and this was just the beginning of my passion for operations and product management. After this, I took another course called Introduction to Operations Management, then another one, until I ended up learning Data Analysis.
You may be curious why? I have a background in HR, and of course, I do have an HR Manager diploma. However, I believe progress comes from discomfort, and our minds need challenges to thrive. If I would only learn about HR, applicant tracking systems, assessment tools, and hiring processes, then I would not be able to think outside the box. Understanding how different types of businesses work, understanding something as simple and clear as Little’s Law, can change your perspective.
When I am hiring, I am always thinking about optimizing the cost per hire. And by that, I don't mean only how much it costs to post a job ad, process candidates, and interview them. I am also thinking about the time spent by a hiring manager assessing and training the person he hires. I want my candidates to be easy to manage, to add value from the first two weeks of work. Is this even possible? Yes, absolutely!

When I started recruiting AI developers, I went on Coursera.org and took several AI courses, like Introduction to Generative AI, Introduction to Large Language Models, Attention Mechanism, Introduction to Vertex AI Studio, and also several courses from Andrew Ng and Deep Learning.
I don't believe a recruiter should learn how to program if he/she is recruiting developers, but they should understand the concepts very well. Because you cannot assess a candidate if you don't understand at least theoretically what the person does on a daily basis.
So what am I learning these days? I am doing a coaching course, and at the same time, I am advising people on how to improve their CVs and how to change their mindsets in order to attract their dream jobs. I do this in my spare time. I am a full-time Talent Advisor and Recruiter, and I love my job. I wish you to love your job too!
