First things first, in marriage as we all know, a newly married woman is welcomed into the family. In marriages, a complex yet powerful relationship exists the Saas - Bahu relationship, wherein we find dominance from the side of Saas and a sense of intimidation from the side of the Bahu. The First 3 months in the house of the in-laws are very crucial for the Bahu as she has to know all the family members, understand the culture of the family, know the needs of all the family members, and also befriend some of the like-minded members of the family. Similarly, in jobs, the relationship between the boss and employee is the same as the Saas - Bahu. The employee is intimidated by the aura of the boss. In the job too, the first 3 months are the incubation period for the employee wherein he is supposed to be nurtured and handheld by the boss so that his fundamentals are pretty clear. He has to know the culture of the company, has to understand the key result areas (KRAs), and also should have an eagle's eye on the key performance indicators (KPIs), making friends with fellow colleagues.

There need to be some radical changes in the way families live and companies run. Gone are the days when the Bahus were dominated by the Saas and the employees were intimidated by the Bosses. The first thing that needs to be changed is the way the Baahus are perceived and received in the family. They need to be welcomed with open arms and sparkling eyes, especially from the Saas. They need to be empowered in a way that the Bahus think that this home is their own and they feel at ease and are comfortable. Similarly, in jobs, the employee should be positively welcomed, should be empowered with the capability to work at their pace, and should have their own decision-making as far as their functional department and the company is concerned.

The easiest way to make the atmosphere of home perfect and conducive is to empower the newly married Bahu to be in her own space, allow her to keep her point in family discussions in an assertive manner, and also respect her points by appreciating her by giving her the required freedom of expression, along with the family's love and affection. Similarly, the new employee in the office also requires the freedom to work independently without any mental pressure so that he can give his best every time in everything. The employee should not take undue advantage of the leverage given to him by his boss or the company.

As karma has said "what you give, is what you get! So it is the moral and ethical responsibility of the companies to be good with their employees. Companies should give employees, their valuable time, an actively listening ear, a compassionate heart, an unbreakable trust, and freedom to work and take decisions on the behalf of the company. As a return, the employees will also give more than their 100% efforts in their professional work and take the companies to new heights!

This way there can be a long-term relationship of 2 entities: The company & its employees! This is how we can succeed in a perfect "Corporate Marriage".
