What you get with the First 100 Days coaching programme

What you get with the First 100 Days coaching programme

In my first meeting with prospective clients, we talk through how the First 100 Days programme works and what they can expect.

I thought it might be useful to share some of this here, so if you are thinking about seeking coaching for the transition to your new role, you have a head start!

Who it's for

This is for you if you are a woman stepping into a senior leadership role.?That time when you are feeling elated to have an amazing new job, and also petrified at the thought of actually being the Global Marketing Director, or whatever job title you are getting!

The intention is to ensure you set yourself up for success right from the beginning.?Many leaders?struggle in the first year to 18 months of a new role.?This is all about making sure that doesn't happen to you?and giving you the right support.

Initial?enquiry

First, after you get in touch, we have an informal chat on Zoom or in person about your situation: the job you are leaving, the one you are starting, what you want from the coaching sessions, a bit about me and my background.?We get to know each other a little.?You ask any questions you have about how we will work together.?There is no charge for this.

If we get on well and you feel comfortable, great!?If not, no problem, we won't go any further and you will look for a coach that is a better fit for you.

At the end, if?you want to, we set a time for our first session.

First coaching session

We meet for an hour in person or on Zoom.

This first meeting?is done as a single session to see if you get what you need from it.?

Quite a lot of people have never experienced coaching before and are unsure exactly what to expect, so I like to do one session as a start and then you can decide whether to proceed with the rest or not.

At the end of the hour, if you want to go ahead, I will invoice you for the programme.?

If you decide not to go any further, I will invoice you for the single session only.

Remaining sessions

Then we meet every two weeks for four months to suit your schedule - covering your first 100 days in the role.

I recommend?you have 30 minutes free in your calendar after each session so that you can get the most out of the hour and not be thinking about having to get onto another call as soon as we finish!?This also gives you time to reflect on and integrate any insights from our time together.

What we cover

Towards the beginning, we review?some best practices about starting a new role?around overcoming nerves/imposter syndrome, creating a plan for the first 100 days, deciding on your priorities for the first few weeks etc.? This gets you up and running.

Then once we are a few sessions in?and you are getting into the job, we work with whatever is on your mind that you want to bring to work on in the sessions.?This is your space and it's a time to unpack any challenging situations or feelings and ensure you are clear and comfortable about how you are handling yourself and others.

People often arrive feeling wound up or stressed about something and go away relieved and clear about what they are going to do to handle it.

"As a result of Catherine's coaching, I have refined my decision-making style, had the confidence to tackle some significant leadership issues in the very early days of my tenure and been supported to understand more about my vision for the future of my organisation.?Without Catherine's coaching, I think it would have been a very lonely and less successful first few months.?I would highly recommend Catherine for executive coaching."?Chief Executive Officer, hospice

"Our coaching sessions made me feel like I was actively thinking and working to build a good foundation in my new role. You were a calm, external voice to discuss ideas with and to share challenges."?Finance Director
