What You Follow Defines You

What You Follow Defines You

Most people follow leaders, but not causes. In other words, what moves them is a person, who acts as a leader, but they do not know, do not practice, nor are they identified with the cause. Therefore, when the leader is missing, they disperse until they find another leader to follow. This attitude of the people is weak and there is also the danger that if the leader deviates and takes bad paths, so will the people.

Therefore, our loyalty is weak and falls easily before obstacles and adversity. To avoid this, let's follow a cause, making sure that we know it, practice it, understand it and believe in it to such an extent that it becomes part of our essence. Only then will we be able to evaluate our leaders before deciding to follow them and we will not abandon the cause even if the leader is absent.

Choose your cause and let your cause choose your leader. Jesus Christ was not a leader, but God made man. He is our cause and we must evaluate our leaders based on our cause and essence: Christ.

Based on Matthew 26:31-35
