What are you feeling grateful for today?
Hi,
I wanted to share something that's been a huge help for my mental health over the last 5 years...
Practising gratitude.
It's not something I do every day, but whenever I need a boost, I return to it.
Today, for example, I’m feeling incredibly grateful.
Grateful for the opportunity to go out on my girlfriend's dad's boat on Lough Derg for a beautiful sunset and picnic recently.
My family and grandparents.
My amazing girlfriend who supports me.
My wonderful clients.
My cat Luna.
Everyone who came to our community day hikes this year.
And for having good physical and mental health.
These small reflections instantly lift my mood and help me refocus on the positive, even during tough times.
And there have been some really stressful times recently for me on a personal level, unfortunately.
Gratitude is such a simple practice, yet it can have a huge impact on how we feel every day.
Whether it's stress at work, feeling overwhelmed, or just having a rough day.
Taking a moment to acknowledge what you're thankful for can shift your mindset.
If you haven’t tried this yet, give it a go.
All it takes is a pen and a piece of paper.
Write down 3-5 things you’re grateful for today, no matter how small.
This simple habit is something I encourage many of the women I work with to do, and it has a real positive effect.
