This is my Weekly Linkedin NewsLetter, where I will help you become a Corporate Influencer and authentically achieve your business and career goals.
In the years that I have been using Linkedin, I have heard some things like:
"Linkedin only has boring, corporate people."
"You need to have a Premium account to do anything on Linkedin."
None of that is true !
There are many myths and lies that people think and talk about Linkedin.
1. "Content needs to be formal, technical or institutional"?
For the love of god... no.
Many people use Linkedin daily to consume content.?
What are they looking for?
To exchange knowledge with other people!?
Preferably in the language they are used to - and not in the language of institutional commercials or scientific articles.?
"So I should only talk about my personal life to stand out?
No !?
Seek a balance.?

In this way you get to show who you are, what you do, and also how you can help your audience.?
In the long run, you are deepening relationships with your audience and increasing their perception of value.?
2. "The more connections, the better"
Is it ?
There are 2 types of mistaken thoughts about networking on Linkedin:?
First, the people who simply accept any invitation they receive.?
Conversely, you have the people who ONLY accept invitations from those they already know or work together with.?
Both cases?
You are not thinking about your strategic goal in the network.?
First, define your goal.?
Then make a list of people who can help you reach that goal (your target audience).
Finally, prioritize building your network with these people.?

50 connections with your target audience is worth much more than 1000 random people in your network.
In other words:?
Quality > Quantity
PS: Remember that the limit of connections on Linkedin is 30,000 people.
3 - "Linkedin is only for job hunting"
This is a classic, right?
We have all heard that the only function of Linkedin is to advertise job openings...
This is not true.
Take a look at this simple research that I conducted in my own network:
Linkedin is a relationship-building network - just like several others.?
The big difference, however, is the qualification of the audience:
There are already more than 700 million members around the world.
According to data gathered by Linkedin itself, in 2021, 4 out of 5 users will be business decisions.?
That is, potential buyers for your company!?
