What are you doing to create High Performing Virtual Teams?

I just wanted to follow up on the session I did with the team at Valamis last week about high performing virtual teams.
As we come through the first 6 months of our organisations reactions to COVID, it's worth reflecting on how it feels to be in our teams now, and what would make us all better as virtual team players.
As we highlighted in the session, all the dimensions of working in our teams has changed because of home-working, virtual team working and the lack of connectedness we get from virtual meetings.
Recent BCG research showed only 51% of us thought the productivity of our team work was better in the distanced working, COVID world.
And that's massive because - that's why we work in organisations because 1+1+1+1 of teams should add up to more than 4!
As we explored on the session, not only have we got to reflect on the building blocks of HiPer Virtual Teams and Teams of Teams, we need to surface the data of connectivity and place TRUST / Psychological Safety at its heart.
As business leader, team members, team leaders, HR and Learning & Development teams ourselves, if we are not helping teams strengthen these building blocks - we are missing out on the energy, potential and power of teams. And in this economic climate - who can afford to do that?
If you missed the session - please follow the link to listen in. We all need to be thinking hard about how we make our organisations fit for the future and nurturing high performing virtual teams is a reality for us all.
