What Will You Do With the Time You Have Left?

As I ready myself for another birthday, I am not-so gently reminded about both the beauty and brevity of life. In marking another year of life also comes the realization that – at least statistically – I am on the downside of my experience here on earth. Having lived just over 60 years puts me on the B-side on the record of my life, folks.

?

This isn’t meant to sound depressing. In fact, for me, it serves as an awakening. And no matter how old you are, this should be an awakening for you as well. None of us know how many years we will be blessed with before we take our final bow on life’s stage.

?

So, how are you choosing to live those years? Cautiously, excitedly, optimistically, fearfully?

?

Have you decided to pour yourself into your dreams and fulfill your heart’s desire, or are you choosing to push your dreams off to the side because you are too busy with other things? Have you decided to seek out or be part of an enriching relationship, or are you choosing to be alone or remain in a broken relationship because it is all you have or all you know? Have you decided that you will be prosperous, or are you choosing to live paycheck to paycheck, wondering how you will make ends meet? Have you decided to live a life of passion and joy, or are you choosing to live a life of mediocrity because you are too afraid to express the true essence of your spirit?

?

BE AWARE that this intricate, beautiful, and educational journey we are on has a beginning and an end. It doesn’t matter where you are along that voyage. But what does matter is how you will experience the rest of it. Do you want to leave this place with regrets, having not lived it the way you wanted to, or will you depart it with joyous exhaustion, knowing you fully spent all you had to give, sharing your greatness with the world? As Dr. Wayne Dyer put it, "Don't die with your dance still in you."

?

You must decide today – in fact, RIGHT NOW – that settling for less is no longer acceptable to you. You are done waiting for the right moment. Instead, you are creating it. You are deeming this very moment, a moment of creation; a New Beginning in your life. This is where you make your stand that going forward, things will be different… better, more fulfilling, and enjoyable.

?

Begin to feel a new flow of energy grow in your being. It is the birthplace of all the joy yet to come.

?

Feel it. Use it. Rejoice in it.

So very true…..Embrace each day as if it were your last! God is Still in Control!

Thanks Jim. I always liked a lot of the B sides myself. I’m living in a place of serving and embracing being blessed with what is in front of me. ??

A lot of B Sides were better than the A Side. Embrace your B Side and make the most of it.
