Living your dreams

Living your dreams

Most of us live a life full of commitments. It has become a monotonous schedule for them to wake up everyday in the morning to get to work, work for someone's dream, get back home for a momentary pleasure with family, for whom they spend most of their hours in life and finally dream of a nice retirement. For them, its the paycheck that matters the most. They work for money. Money gets whatever they want for their family. Except time for the family.

When you do something you don't love, what good would you achieve? It becomes an ordeal instead of an excitement. It washes away the real talent inside you. You become something you are not deemed to become. Stop doing things you don't like just for the monthly paycheck. Money is important, but Money alone is not important. There are things that could make your moments priceless. Find it. Follow it and when you finally find how you could use that for a living, that's when money follows you.

It sure takes time and great struggles to achieve this path. But, finding your own path instead of living in someone's is never a wrong thing nor too late to think about. For me, it was L.A.T - Literature, Art and Travel. I had always been an avid reader and could spend a whole day in isolation and peace given a pen or pencil and a piece of paper. That was when Engineering happened to me. I would never say I did not love Engineering. I loved knowing and understanding how things worked. I was fascinated by robotics and automobiles. Hence, Mechanical Engineering became my choice of subject. Even as a child, I loved working with motors, inventing something under my little tent made of bed sheets at home.

As time passed, I became more mundane. Work became the only problem after your degree. The world or at least those around us decide that once you are out of an Engineering college, you are deemed to become an Engineer for life, nothing less. Your parents start questioning you when you do something else. Finally, you take up the life that did not want for the sake of others. You begin to live in the shoes of those who do not care about what or how you feel.

Each and every one of us have something great in us. Try to find that out. Experiment with your passion. I was good with creating content, write poems and had creative stories cloud my thoughts every second in my life. I could draw down my tale and explain to others in the most fascinating way. Then, I ended up in a field which never gave chance to these skills I had. I could not grow further, nor could find time to enhance my abilities. The result, you end up feeling you are not good enough, lose confidence and start doubting your talents. You had been cheating yourselves all these years.

Travel brings out the good in me. I love to hitchhike, get comfortable in any place, eat anywhere and meet new people. It brought out the creative part in me. When I travel, I am out of my commitments, about what others think of me, about living a life of my own, about a life of freedom. It's when you are out of the shackles, you begin to think how beautiful life is, how beautiful people are. You start trusting this life. You start believing in humans. We are more alike than different. A conserved mindset always drives you to start doubting everyone. Open your mind, talk to people, trust them, give them a chance and still if you get cheated, forgive them. That's what life teaches you. Belief, Forgiveness and Selflessness.

You only have one life. Live it for your own. Live each moment on your own accord. Stop doubting yourself and #dowhatyoulove. Life is very beautiful, you see.
