What are you chasing?
What really matters?

What are you chasing?

If you’ve ever told yourself, "I will get that car. I will get that house. I will get that life I want," you’re not alone.

But, ask yourself this: what if you’re chasing the wrong things?

Consider this: What is life, if not a journey of transformation? Our pursuit of possessions and status often mirrors the cultural lie of “self-sufficiency.” Jesus told us to seek first the Kingdom of God, not earthly treasures (Matthew 6:33). The more you focus on becoming who God created you to be, rather than getting what you think you want, the more the life you were meant for will unfold.

Our hearts are restless until they find their rest in God. Yet, our culture drives us to restless pursuit, reinforcing the illusion that achievement equals fulfillment. And still, the more we climb that ladder, the further we fall into emptiness, striving rather than becoming. When you chase after things like cars or houses, you’re not chasing purpose, you’re chasing distractions. Yes, those things can enhance life, but they are not the essence of it.

Seek first the Kingdom, as Christ said. Challenge your thinking. You are not what you have. You are who God is shaping you to be.Human dignity comes from being a son or daughter of God, not from possessions. By focusing less on getting and more on becoming, you’ll get exactly what you need—peace, contentment, and a sense of true belonging.

The question now is: Are you ready to start focusing on becoming, and not just on having? When you turn your gaze to what truly matters—faith, purpose, community—your life will follow, as will the “things” that truly complement your journey.
