There is no question how much interviewing has changed in the last few years. In a hiring market where the company has the advantage and takes however long it wants to make a job offer, job seekers need to be better positioned and prepared to answer questions with results and evidence about how they are going to HELP their potential new employer.
?
Let’s not forget that you, as the candidate, have practically almost equal power in assessing whether that company is the best fit for you at this stage in your career. But how can you assess a company’s culture without coming across as “aggressive” or “difficult?”
?
You need to be clear about what you want to ask and be prepared to ask it as professionally and directly as possible.
?
Last week, I was invited to a virtual panel hosted by CA Search Advisors. We discussed how to appropriately assess cultural fit when interviewing for a new job. Plus, the panel shared some of their best interview tips to help you prepare and crush your next interview.
?
Thank you, Amy Bauer, Katie Becker, and Angela Timberlake.
It was an honor to serve on this panel with you!

What's your best tip to help you stand out in the interview process?
How has it helped you "get the job offer?"
