What You Cannot Carry In The Aircraft?
To ensure the safety of the travelers, the US Department of Transport Security Administrations has prohibited carrying certain items in flights. It is advisable to check the list of prohibited items before packing your luggage. Remember that even if any item is permitted, it needs to be screened additionally or it will not be allowed through checkpoint if the alarm sounds during screening. However, the decision is with TSA to allow anything to the flight. Also, some hazardous items are not allowed in some states and travelers are expected to respect the state law.
Below are the items which are prohibited to carry in aircraft.
Sharp Objects
Sharp items like knives, box cutters, Ice Picks, Razor blades, scissors, sabers, meat cleavers, swords etc. are not allowed in the flight. If you want to pack any kind of sharp object in checked baggage make sure that it is wrapped securely to avoid injuries to baggage inspectors and handlers.
Sports Accessories
Though you like sports, the sports accessories can be dangerous sometimes. You are not allowed to carry baseball bats, cricket bats, bows and arrows, golf clubs, hockey sticks, pool cues, skates, spear guns, ski poles, lacrosse sticks etc. inside the flight. You can keep it in checked baggage and let it fly alone.
Guns and Firearms
No need to say, it is obvious that you cannot carry guns or ammunitions to the flight. However, check with your travel agent or airline to know if ammunition is allowed in checked baggage or not. Sometimes, small ammunitions for personal use are allowed in checked baggage if it is packed securely.
Tools
Again tools we need can be used as a weapon to attack. The following tools are not allowed in flights: Axes and hatches, crowbars, hammers, cattle prods, drills and drill bits, saws, tools that are more than seven inches length, screwdrivers, wretches, pliers etc. Make sure that any sharp object in checked baggage should be carefully wrapped to avoid injuries to baggage inspectors and handlers.
Self Defense and Martial Arts items
Martial Arts and self-defense items like billy clubs, brass knuckles, black jacks, kubatons, self-defense sprays, night sticks, weapons used for martial arts, nunchucks, shocking devices, stun guns, throwing stars etc. Make sure that any Martial Arts and self-defense items in checked baggage should be carefully wrapped to avoid injuries to baggage inspectors and handlers.
Explosive and Flammable Materials
Here we go, explosive and flammable materials are not allowed both in flight and checked baggage. The items include blasting caps, fireworks, dynamite, flares, hand grenades, plastic explosives etc. No need to say, these items are highly dangerous for you and your fellow passengers.
Disabling Chemicals and Other Dangerous Items
To make sure that you travel safely the following disabling chemicals and dangerous items are strictly prohibited. Aerosol, fuels, gas torches, lighter fluid and gasoline are considered as disabling chemicals and dangerous items. However, lighters without fuel are allowed in checked baggage. Torch lighters which makes needle like flame also prohibited both in flight and checked baggage.
