What Are You Building, The Sears Tower, or Mike Tyson's 1st Chicken Coop?

Achieving substantial goals demands more time and dedication, similar to constructing a skyscraper compared to a chicken coop. Just as it takes longer to build a skyscraper due to its complexity, accomplishing significant aspirations necessitates intricate planning, persistent effort, and a series of well-executed steps.

Groundbreaking

Let's start with the foundation of my analogy. Picture this: you have two construction projects—one to build a chicken coop and the other to erect a skyscraper. One is a cozy abode for clucking critters, and the other is a towering feat of engineering marvels. Constructing a skyscraper demands more time and dedication. Just like achieving significant goals in life requires more effort and planning than smaller undertakings. Why? As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was the Sears Building!

Although chicken coops have their purpose and need to be built, whether or not you are the person to build them is a soul-searching expedition where you decide what YOU REALLY WANT.

Hasta La Vista, Instant Gratification

In a world of instant gratification, where we expect everything at the touch of a button, it's crucial to remember that achieving greatness takes time. As Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic character, Terminator, famously said, "I'll be back." And so will our goals! Patience and perseverance become our guiding lights, reminding us that true achievements are worth the wait. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it still stands, attracting millions of tourists annually.

Planning: A Blueprint for Success

As architects meticulously plan each skyscraper floor, we must craft a blueprint for our goals. Grab a whiteboard, put on your best inventor goggles (à la Doc Brown from "Back to the Future"), and start mapping out the steps required to reach your desired outcome. Remember, even Tony Stark's Iron Man suit underwent countless iterations before it became the sleek, powerful armor we know and love. So embrace the planning stage, the messiness, and let your creativity soar.

The Hero's Journey

Every great quest has its ups and downs, moments of triumph and despair. It's like Harry Potter facing off against Lord Voldemort or Neo navigating the Matrix. In our pursuit of substantial goals, setbacks are inevitable. But fear not, for every failure brings us closer to success. Like Batman rising from despair, we too shall rise, armed with newfound wisdom and resilience.

Building Blocks of Success

Remember the childhood joy of playing with LEGO bricks? Well, achieving substantial goals is like building a giant LEGO set—brick by brick. Each brick represents a small accomplishment or milestone on the path to greatness. As Alfred said in Batman Begins,

"?Why do we fall sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up. Bruce Wayne."

So, embrace those small victories, cherish them, and keep going!

Please Remember

I'm not saying don't build chicken coops. I'm sure Mike Tyson will love you so much for taking on the task that he might even bite a piece of your ear off. BUT, in the end, it's just a chicken coop—whether it's good, bad, or ugly.

And yes, I know...Tyson is into pigeons and not chickens, but did you get the point or nah?
