What you absolutely need to know about Writing a Successful Book...
Sigrid de Kaste
Want to write a Book? ?? I help you Write & Publish a High Impact, High Profit Marketing Optimized Book to elevate your Expertise & Position your Authority.
If you’re quietly hoping that the book you want to write, you might even have started writing, and you hope and dream it will be a huge success.
And by success you mean, loads of people will buy your book, you get great reviews and people contact you to say thank you because you’ve changed their lives, all because of your book, here is what you absolutely need to know:
You can absolutely write a successful book for your business and the book can help expand your influence–because it is known, thought leaders write books.
In your Book AND with your Book, you can showcase your deep subject matter knowledge in a way no blog, video, interview or even a piece published in a well-known magazine can do.
…and here is how to make sure your book will be the success you are hoping and dreaming about…
judging a Book by its Cover and yet, so many times the author pays NO attention to that.
Or in actual fact, misunderstands what the means
?
Paying particular attention to the Book Cover is one of the Key Benefits of getting my help to Write a Book and here is how I help clients with that.
Firstly, whatever the reason is the client says they want to write the book, you want to align the book with your business.
Here are the top 3 Reasons Clients give why they want to write a book:
1.????? To Help more people to get better this way.
2.????? To share their experience and inspire people
3.????? Just want people to know about it.
All great reasons to write a book – from here, though, working with me, you’ll dig deeper into that initial reason because your reason to write the book impacts your book cover.
We judge a book by its cover. Not for any fancy images or design.
No, not at all.
We judge a book by its cover for the book title – the title needs to be clear and make sense to what you, as a reader, are looking for and want to read about at that time.
The Book Title is also what anyone, in the media for example, an event or an interview you’re invited to as the author, the Book Title is what’s announced – not…
“Oh this is a great Book because it has this fabulous colourful Cover”
Sure, the cover colours might want to be aligned with your overall brand, your business colours or colours you want to stand for or colours that support the meaning of your topic.
But it is the Book Topic made clear with the Book title, that people judge your Book by and are able to recommend your Book by.

For example, Allison wrote a Book – you’re not going to say: it’s got a great looking Cover – you’re more likely going to say: Allison’s Book is about Mums who have experienced something…a moment in life they'd like to celebrate or commemorate and share that moment or a memory, they share it with deep emotion and authenticity in Allison’s Book, called…and here’s where the Book title comes in.
You’d talk about the topic of the Book, mention the Book Title, and not the colours, pictures or images on the cover.
?
And here’s another example of…
Two financial planners write a book.
The first one discovers, through research and planning and digging deep into what the book should be about, which is one of the main components of working with me, for example, that the best way forward is to focus his topic on his expertise helping, educating women on improving their financial understanding and financial status.
He writes the book as a kind of a Financial Tale of Two Women – and he models his book title on an already famous book title which makes it really easy to judge by the cover, whether you want to read his book or not.
In contrast to this financial planner, another one wrote his book all around gaining Financial Freedom to live an excellent life. This book cover has a large photo of the Author and the Title is all around achieving an excellent life and so actually hints more of the Book being a lifestyle or self help topic than a financial topic.
And here is what I want to point out:
When we judge a Book by it’s cover it is the Book Title that will make us choose to read further descriptions about the book.
It is NOT the colours, the picture or your own photo that attracts the reader.
I know this from personal experience, and I made every mistake so many women still make, time and time again, hoping and dreaming but not reaching that success because they did not plan for it and did not choose a book cover that clearly shows the title, a title that is specific and instantly recognizable as to what the book is about.
(YES, I did put my own picture on to my very first attempt and quickly changed that!)
You see, Publishers who publish books for famous people, use Photos of the Personality that the Book is about to make Book Sales. That’s tapping into the already existing fame of the Person.
You and I want to create that fame with our Book, so we are best positioned to use our Expertise and express it in a clear to understand Book Title and Topic that we ourselves and everyone who talks and writes about our Book, can easily explain and so the book becomes synonymous with you and your expertise, solidifying your reputation.
Guiding clients how to draft the “BEST” Book Cover for their Topic and Title, is one of the Key Benefits of getting my help to Write a Book.
