What a year! Thank you, 2022

Year in Review

2022 was a year of tremendous growth for me, personally and professionally. Below I've summarized several of my key highlights in the areas of community, research + teaching, personal development, and professional development.

Community?

• Received the gift of illuminating data about the importance of DEI - experienced interactions I truly had never encountered before that added fuel to the fire of advocacy and accountability.?
• Fully leaned into the amazing communities at Intuitive by graduating from ELEVATE, the first cohort professional development training for high performers and serving my first year as a Board Member for the WITY (Women in Technology) employee resource group at Intuitive. I continue to be blown away and so thankful for the amazing people in these communities.?

Research + Teaching?

• Expanded my impact as a thought leader in the HF healthcare space by guest lecturing and mentoring 10+ students on human factors in healthcare.
• Continued to advance research by serving as a panelist on Emerging Trends in Human-Robot Teams and having my 1st first-author paper on cognitive biases recognized by the AHRQ and the Join Commission.?

Personal Development?

• Overcame significant imposter syndrome that had me doubting literally everything about myself and why I’m here. Started to finally lean into my strength and power. I’m so thankful to many of my colleagues, friends, and family for reminding me of my strengths when I had completely lost sight of them.

Professional Development

• Continued to support innovative next generation robotic surgical system development at Intuitive with some of the brightest and kindest people in this industry.?

Thank you to everyone who made this past year what it was. To those of you who I've been lucky to learn from and with. And to those who have taught me valuable lessons and provided me with difficult and important feedback.
