What a year its been for Eseye Americas..

What a year its been for Eseye Americas..

As we move into the holiday period, it’s important for us all to take time to look back and reflect on the progress, experiences, challenges, fun and lessons learned from the past year. It is also a time to give thanks to our customers, our partners, our global team – without whom, Eseye’s success over the past year would not have been possible.

When Julian Hardy CEO kicked off our RIoT (Revolutionizing Internet of Things) with a global webinar January 16th, we announced our 2016 mission to:

(i)            Cause a RIoT

(ii)          Reduce IoT Complexity

(iii)         Solve ioT customer pain points

(iv)         And continue to execute.

Looking back, thanks to the efforts of our team, we have knocked the ball out of the proverbial park! Most exciting and to close the year out with a bang, was the launch of our AnyNet Secure, a ground breaking product which delivers enhanced security features for our customers.  It allows customers to automatically activate, provision, authenticate & certify IoT devices and then ingest data to their cloud storage platforms. This means that they don’t have to enter manual passwords, release security keys to third parties such as manufacturers and contract installers and no onsite configuration. A game changer for the industry.

Other key highlights from the year:

In January, Eseye attended CES in Las Vegas, spoke at key events like the IOT Evolution Expo late Jan in Fort Lauderdale. In February, we launched our global compensation plan and enhanced US employee benefits.

During March, our team attended Channel Partners Expo event in Las Vegas and launched our Channel Partner program. This program continues to gain traction and engagement with key partners like CarrierSales, Intelisys, Smart Technology Associates, Vappusnet, Connected Solutions Group and others.

In April we moved our US headquarters from CT to Austin, TX, the next Silicon Valley. In June, we hired Ricky Gonzales as Sales Director, from T-Mobile. As we closed out H1 we passed a major threshold – over 1 Million devices active in over 160 countries, and over 1000 different device types.

The second half of the year is when Eseye kicked it into a higher gear… July came and went with more events including IoT Evolution and some friendly Twitter banter with our friends at Kore Telematics showing marketing genius by placing their banner outside the toilets…mmm.

During August – after months of paperwork and tireless effort from our LatAM VP Arthur Lobato, our Brazil legal entity was established. One of the key Brazil mobile network operators (announcement coming soon!) agreed to be our in-country local IMSI partner and support our MVNO application with regulatory body Anatel. Brazil is very challenging market with tough regulatory restrictions. Arthur and the team are very close to obtaining our in-country license from Anatal so we can start fulfilling the huge sales pipe line we have built. I expect significant growth to come from this market.

Also in September Eseye achieved the Standard Partner Tier with AWS. Since then the partnership has gone from strength to strength.

Where did Q4 go?? There are too many announcements and accolades to list. Some of the more important ones;

·     Eseye was announced as an Advanced Technology Partner with AWS late October

·     Eseye was recognized in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Machine-to-Machine Services, Worldwide – great work team!

November saw weeks of preparation (what Thanksgiving?) for AWS ReInvent where Eseye exhibited at the mini-con IoT showcase and attended numerous meetings with the AWS team and partners. Our Hera router was utilized for a number of AWS demos during the sessions by the AWS Solution Architects. One of my proudest moments was the announcement live on stage at ReInvent, Eseye have achieved IoT Competency status. Too bad our CTO and CEO were not present to see it – they were in meetings! The very next day we launched AnyNet Secure with AWS – since then, it’s been all hands on deck and we are looking to hire more Sales people to support the demand.

Outside of the Americas, It would be amiss of me not to mention our team in Europe, led by Nick McNamara, VP Sales who continues to lead the charge in our home market. Every day Nick and the guys set the bar higher for us to follow. Stephen Stewart, our Regional Director for Africa continues to develop what is known to be the final frontier for cellular connectivity. The challenging mobile network operator coverage in this market plays right into the value and strength of our AnyNet multi-IMSI SIM. And Jess Thompson-Hughes, our VP Paygo & Partner Solutions who spends more time traveling that anyone I know! We truly have an excellent global team at Eseye, one of which I am proud to be a part of.

Personally, my key areas of focus for the business was Transformation – simplification, automation, visualization. To improve the overall service we provide to our customers and make it easier for our Sales team and our partners to go to market. Our past year results including the numerous press releases tells it all. But it doesn’t end here…

This is only the start. I feel confident 2017 will be another year of records waiting to be broken…

We won’t stop.
