No matter who we are, we all have to die one day.
When we die, the question is what will be written on our tombstone.
Will it be something that transformed someone's life, or will it be just a birth date and the death date with people who are survived after us.
I asked this question to almost 300+ people from all walks of life and the answer I received was enlightening.
None of them talked about their career or hobbies. Each of the answers had one thing in common: they had a desire to contribute to someone's life.
Some of the snapshots of answers I have attached.
Then I asked another question: If you got a chance to re-design your life, what would you do differently?
Again the answer amazed me. Here are a few snapshots.
If you observe, most of us don't follow our passion because of the fear of failing we carry in life.
Then the obvious next question was the origin of the fear and the validity of it at present.
Here are a few snapshots.
66% found that the fear was baseless, 18% didn't verify the fear, and 3% didn't want to confess the truth. That means 87% of people's fear was baseless.
Then I covered 4 perspectives that are worth dying for.

4 年So so true. Overcome your fear by action. If you want success, fail, try again, fail again , try again..repeat until you succeed. The path to success depends on how you pick yourself up each time you fail. How far are you letting yourselves go?Are you unleashing yourselves(Elon Musk comes to my mind)? Are you ready to lose everything and start over again , again and again? I would suggest to read "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David H. Schwartz. Trying again and again with learning at each failure eventually leads to what you want. 4 年It was an amazing session on perspectives. Really, life is short and it must be lived to create maximum impact by helping others. I want to recall here the famous line from Steven Covey, " Life is to live, to love, to learn, to leave a legacy". To create a lasting legacy we must align with True North Principle.
