What would you do if we don’t select you?

A possibility and a question which haunts every person who’s going to face an interview and a question like this might be the scariest question for him/her but it’s the most important judgmental question for the hiring manager as at this question the interviewer see right through you and see if you’re a smart person who answers it carefully or a cry-baby who’s a desperate for this job. Let’s see some ideal points to answer for this question.

Do’s

1.???Don’t Give Up – You’ve worked hard to reach this point of the Selection process so giving up and moving on from it might not be a good idea, instead answer it by saying you’ll work upon yourself and come back for the interview next time which will show that you have a daredevil personality and you’re someone who works upon his dreams rather than gives up on it.

2.???Ask for Improvement Points – Asking for where did you go wrong and some improvement points is a worthy point as it will show how serious you are towards your job and yourself.

3.???Be Honest – You have put your time and energy to get selected for this job right from the recruitment process to Interview, so the rejection will definitely hurt. Therefore, be honest to the interviewer and speak out the utter truth.

?Don’t

1.???Be Desperate – A professional candidate will never answer like ‘I need this job’ or become desperate for a position by bringing out personal problems. It is meant to be earned and which is why it is advisable to not answer like a desperate person to interviewer as it will definitely not look good for your profile.

2.???Lose your calm – You shouldn’t lose your calm over this question and become rude to the interviewer, this question is asked to see what kind of personality do you have and is it fit for the job, and by being angry you’ll just make your way to the exit so the key is to remain calm and explain the above-mentioned points.

3.???Doesn’t Matter – Keeping some backups and having other offers might be a good thing but stating it in front of an interviewer might be not because it will show that you don’t care about this position in the company and you’re ready to move on if you don’t get a job here which can ruin your impression so you might have to reconsider before saying anything like this.

Keep these points in mind before answering this question and you’re good to go!!
