What would you do?
A bird in the road in my lane.

What would you do?

I was driving and concentrating more on the podcast than on the road.

It was too late to swerve when I saw the bird in my lane.

My ears were listening for the terrible thud.

Imagine if that was you standing in my lane.

Facing a 3,568 lb car, six feet wide and fifteen feet long, bearing down on you at 60 mph with what seemed like no place for you to go.

It's like a vast monster bearing down on you.

What would you do?

But, there was no thud.

Here, this bird was facing what appeared like a certain death.

And it stayed put. It didn't move.

Looking in my rearview mirror, I watched it walk off the road.

In business, there will be times when you will face a vast monster bearing down on you.

Sometimes, it is your best option to stay put.
