What would you do with an extra 10 hours of free time every week?

What would you do with an extra 10 hours of free time every week?

Did you realise that you cannot manage TIME, but you can manage your ACTIVITIES.

Everyone gets the same 24 hours each day. The way we use them is mostly down to how we are conditioned.

If you believe you are a ‘busy person’, guess what, you’ll be a busy person.

With just a couple of tweaks, you can create more time to do the things you love to do. How good would that be!

  • Are you working a lot of hours and then thinking about work when you’re not online?
  • Are you checking Email / Facebook / LinkedIn / Insta constantly during your day?
  • Are you ‘getting ahead’ for the week at work over the weekend?

Remember, your life is YOUR time. Not someone else’s time. YOU are in charge, in control of your time.?

Some top tips, which will bring up some interesting thoughts for you.?

For sure your paradigms (pre-conditioning) will start screaming in protest ??

  • Block fixed times in your diary each day for Email / Social Media checking and DO NOT check outside of those times
  • Switch off your notifications on your phone & laptop, you are in control of when you check, not the notifications!
  • Block fixed times in your diary each day for Working, DO NOT work outside of those times
  • Plan one hour each day, pre-fixed, for YOU and do something that makes you feel good (pre-plan what that is!)
  • Schedule it now, for the next 6 months ahead

Treat these ‘ME’ times as if they are the most important meetings you could have, like a hospital appointment, a new client appointment, or a meeting with your director.

You wouldn’t change those around, would you? Treat them as NON-negiotiable!

Explore the ‘reasons why you can’t’ that will come up when you start considering doing this. Then ask yourself “Is this true” (probably not!)

Once you’ve weaned yourself off your old ways of activity management, you’ll soon find you have a clearer mind and more time on your hands.

Let me know how you get on with it!
