What would next level you do?

What would next level you do?

This week I've been asking myself a question:

What would next level Barbara do?

I asked myself this for two reasons:

1) Because I asked a group I was working with this week (and I always drink my own Cool Aid)

and 2) Because it's actually a great question to ask.

Here's why...

Over the years I see the same thing happening over and over again.

Amazing leaders and business owners striving and pushing for their next level (whether that's in their business or career) and doing that by trying to achieve the next level results, first.

The problem is that when you do this a few things happen:

?It can feel exhausting and out of reach

?You can get overwhelmed and not bother

?You can start to feel not good enough if the results don't go your way

And when you do get there you could:

?Fall back into old tried and tested habits that you've used in the past

?Feel like an imposter or get fear of failure

?Feel like you've made a mistake because you're swimming in the deep end and want to go back to where you were.

I've seen it all

And although, I'm painting a bit of a bleak picture here, there is an easier way, and it's a piece of the puzzle that often goes over looked.

Being the next level YOU first!

Here's how that works....

??Making the decision to show up as the next level you NOW

??Thinking as the next level you NOW

??Creating the habits that next level you would have (and getting rid of the habits that next level you wouldn't dream of doing)

??And taking action as the next level you NOW

Acting AS IF and ACCLIMATISING to the next level YOU ahead of time.

This is what I mean by Elevating.

Deciding what the next level you is, and the results you want to start to see regularly.

And stepping into it

All it takes is a decision

If you want to get started give this a try:

  1. Decide what the next level of you is

How would they show up? What would their day be like? What would they not be doing that you do now? What would they do that you don't? What would they do more of? How would they think? How would they feel?

Go deep, the more you know about next level you the better.

2. Decide how you can start to put this into practice every day, from the second you get up to the time you go to bed, Small actions really add up.

3. Take note of the results that you see, whether that's an increase in your confidence, or results you see around you.

4. Have fun with it - make it a game. Keep asking yourself - would next level me do this, go there, say this? etc.... and see what happens.

As always, if you want extra accountability let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Have a fab week

Barbara

Excellent thought, Barbara! Thank you for the prompt. It could not have better timing! I just used it on a request for feedback, and now it's practice, practice, practice, right?
