What would a less confident world look like?
What would a less confident world look like?
Here is what I think…
Most bad things happen due to overconfidence. Most arrogant people are very confident and sure of themselves. Most load accidents happen due to driver’s overconfident that he or she will be able to maneuver the traffic, which explains why there're more men involved in accidents than women.
Most corrupt politicians are confident that even if they steal, they won’t be caught; I don’t have to remind you again there’re more corrupt men than women.
Countries go to war because they're confident that they will win. Fact: there are no winners in a war. Individuals fight because they believe they could defeat the opponent. People cheat their spouses because they are confident, they won’t be caught, and that’s why there many divorces and family crises than ever before because people have become more confident.
There’s no any attributed correlation between success and confidence…actually, lack of confidence is attributed to many success stories. Here is why…
Low confidence makes you want to improve. To better yourself…and the only way to better yourself is to increase your competence. You work harder, do more research, and as a result you achieve more.

In a less confident world, people would wake up early and more prepared, they would drive more cautiously and there would be less or no accidents. There would be less marriage breakups, less arguments and fights, nations would think twice before going to war, fear of being caught would prevent leaders and CEOs from engaging in corrupt deals.
Most of the global disasters such as global warming, and the most current one, covid-19, would have been prevented in a less confident world.
The world would be a much better place…for you and for me and for the future generations.

John.
