What a Wonderful World
Our temporary home is a world of endless superlatives, a constant stream of compelling beauty, and a perpetual source of amazement. It warrants any hyperbolic language, because its wonders exhaust description. This is paradise as we know it—a world beyond belief and our garden of inspiration. There is magic in the air that makes you feel as if you’ve entered a privileged space. This is the playground for all ages, where there is something for everyone and something for all seasons. It is an amazing opportunity to be a part of this cosmic experience, to partake of the garden of love, and to be a member of an enchanted kingdom.
It is sad that many people never get to explore the world beyond their immediate surroundings. It is possible to spend an entire lifetime in one geographical location, but to do so is to miss the inimitable appeal, the beautiful landscapes, and the majestic nature of our world. Indeed, if not for the help of the astronauts who captured the incredible, mesmerizing beauty of the earth from space, we may never have gained the fascinating perspective of the planet we call home. Nonetheless, pictures don’t tell the whole story; they do not do our world enough justice. One has to see these gorgeous places up close to fall in love over and over with our world.
Don’t just pass through or settle; allow the world to pass through you. Experience what it means to be a temporary tenant of this small planet. Every exposure will enrich your experience, and every change in scenery will increase your understanding and appreciation of how beautiful our world is. It is a journey that will inspire you to leave the world better than you found it.
In the coming weeks, I will be sharing with you amazing must-see venues that falls into two categories: priceless works of nature and unforgettable man-made architecture. We will explore the wonders of the world and showcase the most stunning details of our planet and the intriguing perspectives about these treasured places. Perhaps there is more here than one could ever realize. In 1893, when Katherine Lee Bates made a trip to the Pikes Peak in Colorado, she had no knowledge that she was about to deliver a song that would live for generations in the hearts and minds of a nation. However, upon seeing its overwhelming beauty and magnificent view, “America the Beautiful” was born. She said, “All the wonders of America seemed displayed there, with the sea-like expanse.”
