What a Wonderful Weld!

For over 100 years, Messer Cutting Systems GmbH has been a technological leader for all industries involved in steel and metal industries.

Since Ernst Wiss developed the first oxyfuel gas cutting torch in 1903, the company has been manufacturing the best metal cutting equipment in the industry. In the development of plasma cutting, laser and fiber lasers, Messer has of course also been a guiding star.?

The company has further developed oxyfuel cutting methods and, for example, a cutting unit with three torches makes bevels automatically. What do you think Ernst Wiss would say if he saw it?

Of course, you can also choose from plasma and laser bevel options too. Despite the increasing significance of plasma and laser cutting, oxyfuel cutting is still a very economical process.

Bevel cutting requires an exact knowledge of the machine and the cutting processes. Corners, lead-ins and run outs must be cut with special cycles if the required quality is to be achieved. Bevel cutting also places high demands on the programming of the cutting plan. The automatic systems are fully controlled, with no manual adjustments necessary.

Key features:

  • Types of bevel?K, V, X, Y
  • Material thickness for beveling up to 80 mm
  • Material thickness for vertical cuts up to 150 mm
  • Maximum angle 60°
  • Infinite rotation of the unit about its own axis
  • Interpolation of the bevel angle (change on the fly from minimum to maximum torch inclination whilst cutting)
  • Positive and negative bevel angles in one part are possible
